Have you ever had those days and weeks when life seems completely boring and meaningless? Those months when everything is just same old same old? In those times we crave action! We want adventure. We feel like we have what it takes to change the world, but nothing seems to happen at all. Same day at school. Same day at the office. And the same dull home we come back to.

Here’s a little secret: It is completely fine to feel that way. In fact, we I realised how much we need those moments of rest to prepare for the times when high energy is required. Everything in life should be working in harmony, and putting the brakes on ever once in a while our hectic schedules is good for our mental health and wellbeing. There is a time for everything, so enjoy the times of rest.

I know you may not want to hear this – but I’m sure you would agree with me, too. Being on Social Media and wasting away your life watching someone else’s life certainly won’t help you feel better. Instead, why don’t you rather read that book you’ve been looking at for so long, or go for a walk around your neighbourhood to have a chai at the corner, or call over a friend and simply listen to them talk. The best life advice a friend once gave me was: Your purpose is not found in yourself, but in the people around you. Make it your habit to show a little love to others every day and you will see how your life will gloom with meaning and purpose. Maybe send flowers to your grandma? Or tell your mom about a great memory you have with her? Or maybe just tell someone you like the way they dress today?

    When it gets dull i move out from my place and explore some lesser known place nearby or a cycle ride. To brighten up my friends time i write up a poem or snippet for them. 🙂

    You’re right. Watching other people’s lives on social media doesn’t make me feel better EXCEPT when I watch yours! Especially when you give the best advice on life like, “have a soft heart but thick skin”. I also like your nutrition tips like drinking mineral water instead of just purified water. You have a philosopher’s mind, a philanthropist’s heart and a heavenly maiden’s beauty. You are such an inspiration that you lift my spirits. You even reply to all the comments! =D

    You inspired me to write a poem/song, so here it is. It’s very personal because it’s about my health condition but you’re worth it so I’ll post it.

    Livin’ with the pain,
    Don’t wanna complain.

    Tired of bein’ tired,
    Give me back my fire.

    Send me back in time,
    When everything was fine.

    So much energy,
    Always so funny.

    With so many friends,
    Fun would never end.

    Grades were so high,
    Not even try’n.

    Now gone away,
    But still I pray,

    It to come again.
    Cause it’s not the end,
