25 Feb What Is ‘Seams For Dreams’ All About?!
I’ve been speaking a lot about Seams For Dreams in my recent articles and many of you were eager to know more about this charity foundation and how to get involved. So here is a quick summery of what we do:
1. Seams For Dreams is a charitable organization that uses the universal love for fashion to give back to humanity Here you can donate all your old clothes, from jeans, t-shirts and kurtas to your high-end designer wear to help someone in need of appropriate clothing. We are 100% non-profit, so rest assured: All your donations are used for a good cause! The incoming donations are segregated into kind and immediately distributed all over India through our ever growing network of partner NGOs and our upcoming project the #SFDFashionTruck. So keep donating those excess clothes before they catch the dust! You can read all about our outreach projects in the SFD News section on the website.
2. So which clothes are sold for fundraising at the SFD Garage Sale? This is the coolest part! We get maximum of our high-end fashion pieces for sale from the hippest fashion designers and Bollywood celebrities! Red carpet gowns, movie costumes, designer wear, it all comes straight to you for the lowest prices and helps us raise money to run the charity foundation throughout the year. Guilt free shopping only happens at our fundraising events – the more you buy, the better!
3. Our celebrity supporters and fashion influencers help us raise awareness for the importance of reusing and recycling fashion by donating their own clothes and speaking up for this world-wide fashion trend! This is the main reason why we started our SFD Awareness blog; to promote awesome fashion designers and influencers in the sustainable movement who create a clean environment and stress on ethical treatment for their workers.
