21 Jul How To Get Soft Skin And A Kissable Beard! – Evelyn’s Secrets
Beards have been in the “in-thing” for guys the past few years and, girls, who doesn’t want a cute hipster boyfriend with a sexy beard? However, now don’t get lazy and just grow out all that cavemen hair, just like us women, men need to take good care of themselves if they want a well-groomed look. I recently revealed my secret recipe for a face peel and how to get a girl like me, so now it’s it’s time to get to the roots of it – means the roots of your hair! For us women, taking care of excess body hair involves simply removing most of it, but I’ll save those tips for another day, because today I’m about to rock your world with another secret grooming DIY exclusively for the men!
While there are great products on the market already from brands like Beardo, Happily Unmarried to TruMen most of my guy friends don’t really seem convinced to step out in faith and buy them yet! For those of you with beards thinking how to tame that mop on your face organically here is the alternative DIY home remedy to fight the humidity of the monsoon season and to give your skin underneath some major TLC! Use this secret beard oil recipe to make sure you’re feelin’ fresh and fly!
What you’ll need:
1. Carrier Oil
My favourite is always sesame oil because it is neutral in smells and can be mixed easily with whichever fragrance you want to pair it with. You can use jojoba or almond oil as well if you have a more sensitive skin. A carrier oil is necessary because it will be the base for the formula.
2. Essential Oil
Again, this will depend on your skin’s needs. Essential oils can cause skin irritation because they’re so highly concentrated so keep in mind that for every 1-2 oz. (30-60 ml) of carrier oil, you don’t want to use more than 6-7 drops of essential oil. Here are some suggestions:
– Peppermint: Rejuvenates your skin and keeps you feeling fresh.
– Cedarwood: Helps prevent acne.
– Eucalyptus: Soothes your irritated skin and keeps germs away.
– Lemongrass: Invigorates your skin and smells amazing.
– Tea Tree: Antiseptic and antimicrobial so it’s great as an aftershave.
3. Small empty bottle
Just mix it all up! Let’s keep things simple. Take your chosen carrier oil and fill it into the small bottle using a mini funnel or even rolled up paper sheet. Mix and match a few drops of essential oils based on your skin type and the fragrance you want. Close your bottle, shake it up, and you’re ready to go!
Use this every day after having a shower, and I’m sure this will not only grow you a thick and soft beard, but also make the ladies turn their heads to see your nicely groomed scruff!
You’re welcome boys!
