One of the best therapies in the world that transcends everything is music. I was really, really sad to hear that innocent people were killed after gathering to watch Ariana Grande perform in Manchester. Music is something that is meant to unify people and bring them together in a safe place, where people can be free and enjoy themselves whole-heartedly.
Music is such an important thing in our world right now because it promotes messages of love, peace, and joy. We could all use more of those things in our lives, and it made my heart sing (literally) when I heard that Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, and many other superstars came together at the One Love Manchester concert to benefit the families of the injured and those whose lives were lost. This was a beautiful act of kindness and compassion and yet another example of how music can really bring people together! How awesome it is that in the face of tragedy, we can all stand together and use music to make a positive impact in people’s lives?
For me, I can’t stress enough how much impact music has on my life. Since I started learning the piano I’ve developed a completely love relationship with music! I want more of it, and I want to share it with all of you. In fact, two years after the release of my first song “Something Beautiful” I am back in the studio! I’m in LA right now, recording some new songs with my friends over here. Let’s create some magic to inspire each other!!
To me – music is one of the most healing remedies. Sometimes if I’m a little blue, I have a soulful playlist that allows me to get in touch with my emotions so I can deal with how I’m feeling. Or, if I’m in the mood to celebrate and party, I’ll almost always choose upbeat songs like my song “Party Nonstop” that released last month. If I’m trying to relax or go to sleep, I’ll listen to soft instrumental or classical stuff, but my favourite kind of music to listen to, especially if I’m trying to set my intentions or purpose for the day, is worship music. Whatever you’re feeling or going through, music is a surefire cure.
I’ve made a playlist on my YouTube channel for y’all with some of my favourite tunes! Check it out, SUBSCRIBE, and get inspired! I’ll be adding new tunes on here for you every Monday!
