Most of you have seen on my Instagram story that I took an impromptu vacation this past weekend – and it feels like after ages! I have been so caught up with shoots that I barely had any time for myself. And let me tell you how important it is for everybody to find that essential me time.
One of my most favourite getaways from Mumbai and the busy city life is Thailand because it’s just so close! The beaches are beautiful, the shopping is fab, and the spa and beauty treatments they offer here are nothing like you will find anywhere else in the world.
This time, I decided to stay put in Bangkok because I wanted to spend most of my time eating lovely food and literally living at the spa. I stumbled upon the Asia Herb Association, which ended up being exactly what I needed to destress and decompress. Asia Herb Association has locations all over Bangkok, and what makes this place so darn special is that they even have their own organic farm where they grow all of the herbs for their products and treatments. Everything they use, including their oils, scrubs, moisturizers, and soaps, are created in-house and with so much love.
One of the treatments I received was called the Fresh Herbal Ball Treatment, which is a method that has been used in Thai medicine for almost 2,500 years! They take a combination of 18 minced herbs and wrap them into a piece of soft cotton fabric, which is then steamed. The balls are then rolled along your body’s energy meridians and help alleviate many health problems. Whenever you’re in Thailand next, this place is a must-visit!
A few other places I love and you must visit are Rocket Coffee Bar for amazing nordic breakfasts and and of course delicious coffees, The Iron Fairies bar for my favourite cocktails and the Yunomori Onsen where I could sit forever reminiscing my beautiful Japan trip last year… Well, it’s time for me to head to the beach, I will chat with all of you again later!
